During lock-down due to COVID-19, I did what everyone else did and watched everything I could find on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. We noticed that when we wanted to find specific content, we sometimes had to search across various streaming platforms. I saw an opportunity to assist in helping viewers find the content they’re looking for.
I recently adopted a cat from my local animal shelter. I had difficulty navigating their site, particularly when it came to actually applying for adoption. It seemed obvious to me that the website needed a stylistic refresh as well as with usability and functionality.
I wanted to create a feature that people would use in an app that most of us already have, while staying true to the brand’s visual design and brand identity. I chose to add a “split bill” feature to Cash App. There are other apps that allow users to split up payments, like Splitwise. My idea was to end the need for two apps.
